The 2014 Malibu Invitational was blessed with a building swell over the three days and the competitors were on point. This year’s event benefited TheraSurf, a local charity that brings water therapy to autistic children. Each day the lineup was turned over to the charity. The crowd cheered the stoked kids who were assisted by many of the competitors who happily volunteered to ride tandem with them on Malibu’s perfect waves.

On the business end Nathaniel Curran, following in his brothers footsteps, won the 2014 Invitational with smooth hacks and perfect wave selection. Curran was the surfer to beat all event. The surprise of the event was runner up Billy Hopkins who lead the final up until the last minute until Curran snagged the highest score.
